You can Be the Connection. Please join me in fundraising for ASGHR's Walk for Autism.

Thank you for visiting my page, This was initially created to test the software.... I've decided to customize and share in hopes to inspire you to donate, volunteer, or attend the Walk for Autism.

Autism and Neurodivergence affect many more people than some realize, and it's organizations like ASGHR that make navigating the world a little easier when looking for supports and services. Please consider giving $5 toward my goal!

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. Some people with ASD have a known difference, such as a genetic condition. Other causes are not yet known. We still have much to learn about these causes and how they impact people with ASD. People with ASD may behave, communicate, interact, and learn in ways that are different from most other people. The abilities of people with ASD can vary significantly. For example, some people with ASD may have advanced conversation skills whereas others may be nonverbal. Some people with ASD need a lot of help in their daily lives; others can work and live with little to no support.

In 2023, the CDC updated the Autism prevalence rate to 1-in-36. The increased rate of prevalence highlights our ever growing need to support and advocate for our local Autism community, and the importance of creating connections that last a lifetime.

ASGHR counts on grants and the generosity of our community of supporters. The connection is you.

The Autism Society Greater Hudson Region, New York is a collective of people dedicated to providing resources and opportunities to the autism community in the 21 counties we serve. Our board, staff, and volunteers consist of individuals with autism, family members, and professionals who work with ASD populations.

We create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community to live fully.
